In 1994 she participates in several theatre productions of the Théâtre de la Communauté in Seraing. In 1995 Aurélie and Luc Pilartz join their violins as a duo. Together with Luc Pilartz and Didier Laloy they also form Trio Trad and play concerts in Belgium, France, the Netherlands… for the ‘Live Music Show’ of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation. Aurélie creates together with 9 other musicians (strings, air instruments, piano, accordion and percussion) and Pirly Zurstrassen (teacher Composition Brussels Conservatory) a new repertoire of traditional European music. This newly formed band makes this debut at the Gaume Jazz festival in August 2000, also resulting in their first CD. Several concerts with Camerata Con Cordes. Creation of the trio Aurélia together with Tom Theuns and Dadmehr. This trio dangles between collective inspiration and solitary illumination. Songs that sometimes borrow from the classical repertoire of Eric Satie and Franz Schubert, invite the audience to discover a very particular musical universe ranging from burlesque circus elements or the kitch of a charleston to a slow and beautiful parade where time stands still.
